After entering Egypt on the east side of the Sinai Peninsula we went to the Monastery of St. Catherine near the south end of the peninsula. It was next to Mt. Sinai. Then we went North to the Suez Canel. At this point we were crossing from Asia into Africa. Then we went on to Cairo.

We spent 2 days in Cairo, Giza, and Memphis and saw the Egyptian Museum, the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx.

Next we took a overnight trains south to Luxor. At Luxor we saw the Temple of Karnak, Valley of the Queens, and Valley of the Kings.

We flew back to Cairo, went back across the Sinai Peninsula, crossed back into Israel and stoped in Jerusalem. Then we flew back to Zurich and Chicago to complete the trip.
