[1169] The birth, death dates, and marriage date for Sylvanus and his wife andthe names and birth dates of their children are from Plymouth Vital Records. Sylvanus was very active in Plymouth government. His name appears manytimes in the Records of the Town of Plymoth 1743 to 1783: Volume III, 1903. He served as Surveyor of Lumber, Horgreeve,Tytheingman, Packer of Fish(inspector), Selectman, Assessor, Surveyor of Highway, Clerk of the Market, Fence Viewer, Field Walker, warden, andlater in life moderator (chairman) pro tem of the town meeting. He did, however, refuse to serve as Constable, for which he paid a fine. The records also show that Sylvanus purchased several pieces of land.The first was on 1 March 1756 for sixteen pounds. It was located at'Wellingsley, Upon which the fishing Flakes of Deacon Joseph Bartlett Nowstands...'. At a town meeting on 27 September 1756, the sale of a waterfront lot to Sylvanus and Thomas Davis, traders was approved and on 28December 1761, the town board approved the sale of some land to Sylvanusadjoining land he already owned on the south side of Fort Hill. When his father died in 1756, he inherited the 'Warren Lott at MonumentPonds in Plymouth which I purchase of my brother Benjamin Bartlett, Elnathan Bartlett & Phebe Barnes at several times; two thirdsof Point Pasture, Sedge Ground near Beef Hill & cedar swamp in Plympton which I purchased of John Carver; also half lot bought of Isaac& Sarah Little near Sacrifice Brook in Plymouth'. When Plymouth formed a committee of correspondence on 11 March 1766,Sylvanus was one of the thirteen members. He was selected again on 24 March 1777 and 16 March 1778. He was also on a committeethat reviewed the new state consitution on behalf of the town.

[785] Obituary - The Bucklin Herald, Feb. 24,1933 Chas. Fredric Lindberg was born in Sweden on April 7th, 1858 and died Feb. 16, 1933 at the age of 79 years, 10 months, 9 days. He was united in marriage Oct 13,1878 to Anna Christina Bjurstrum. Unto this union eight children were born. Three of the children and his wife having preceded him in death. Mr. Lindberg is survived by five of his children namely, Roland R. of the home, Harry T. of Kansas City, Mo., Albert E. and Mrs. Vern Holstrom of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Fred C. Olsen of Bucklin, Mo. Also by eleven grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, other relatives and a great host of friends who mourn his untimely passing. Mr. Lindberg was a charter member of the South Swede Mission Church and had been an active member until his health interferred. He shall always be remembered for his kindly words and his fine untireing efforts to further the Kingdom of his Lord and Master. His loss shall be keenly felt, not only by his children and other relatives but by the great host of friends and neighbors. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. D. D. Reynolds of Brookfield at the South Swede church. Burial in the nearby cemetery.
